K-Drama "True Beauty" Jugyeong Korean Makeup Tutorial

Everyone has been falling in love with "True Beauty," a classic ugly duckling K-Drama starring GaYoung Moon, ASTRO's EunWoo Cha, and InYeop Hwang.

Based on the popular Korean webtoon of the same name, the lead character JuGyeong Lim(GaYoung Moon) turns into a goddess. Thanks to makeup Youtubers. She taught herself by watching YouTube videos and now became the best self-makeup artist.

Base Makeup

It is very important to put much effort into your skincare routine before you apply your makeup technics.

For base makeup, apply a tone-up cream to your skin first before the foundation step. A thin and light layer of tone-up cream will even out your skin tone. Then put on a liquid foundation to make your skin look glowing and flawless. Use setting powder to create a smooth finish over the foundation.

Contouring Makeup

Contour on the nose and jawline to create a slim & sharp look like Jugyeong. Don't forget to draw a line under the eyes to create the "Aegyo Sal (love band under eye)."

Eye Makeup

Put on a light pink base eye shadow first then blend with pinkish-brown shadow. Then layer a darker brown eye shadow on the corner of your eyes to make your eyes look bigger. Lastly, use a matte brown color to draw a straight line from the middle to the end of your lower eyelid.

Use a dark brown eyeliner and draw a straight line following your natural eyelid shape.

Finally, after curling your eyelashes and putting on the mascara, apply false eyelashes to make your eyes pop up more. In this way, your eyes will look clearer and bigger.

Eyebrow Makeup

Eyebrow makeup influences a lot on your impression. It is important to find the right shape and color for your face and tone. Use brown eye shadow, eye-brows pencil, and eye-brows mascara to make a straight and soft looking shape.

Blush Makeup

Mix pink and orange blushes and apply them on the side of your cheekbones towards the apples of the cheek. Blend out widely to create a natural look. Give a nice gentle touch.
